Are you an emerging composer based in Illinois with a bold voice and a curious spirit? Nova Linea Musica is thrilled to partner with Grammy-nominated composer and performer Clarice Assad to launch a new mentorship-driven Call for Scores—with a special emphasis on our home city of Chicago.

Open to composers of all ages and backgrounds living in Illinois.
Application Guidelines:
- Eligibility: Illinois residents only (permanent or temporary)
- Age Restrictions: None
Submission requirements:
- Theme: Chicago
- Instrumentation: Piano Trio
- An Original Work that was not previously published or performed
- Duration: Approx. 5 minutes
- Notation: Standard (PDF format)
- No Electronic or multimedia elements
- Deadline: October 1, 2025 (11:59 p.m. CST)
Prizes and Recognition:
- Winners Announced: November 15, 2025
- Live Masterclasses and Creative collaboration
- Performance/Recording: January 2026
Judging and Selection:
- The decisions made by the jury are final and not subject to appeal
Public Announcement:
- Nova Linea Musica will specify how and when the winner(s) will be announced. The primary mode of communication is via email.
